Ep 17 Motivational Interviewing for Multimorbidity
Glenn and Sebastian are happy to share our latest podcast with our guest, Kylie McKenzie, MAPS, FCCLP. Kylie is based outside of Melbourne Australia and is a Clinical Psychologist with more than eighteen years’ experience in a regional public hospital setting.
Kylie’s clinical work, focused on mental health and chronic illness, led to the discovery of motivational interviewing as an engaging way to support and promote health behaviour change. Since becoming a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers in 2008, Kylie has been selected as a lead trainer for international workshops in Krakow (2013), Atlanta (2014) and Melbourne (2015). Kylie is a final year PhD Candidate in the Department of General Practice at the University of Melbourne, and her research is focused on the potential of motivational interviewing in working with people living with mental-physical multimorbidity.
